Every living creature needs to sleep, and sleep is the primary activity of the brain during early development. Sleep-wake cycles are regulated by light and dark and these rhythms are not developed at birth, resulting in the irregular sleep schedules of newborns. The rhythms begin to develop at about six weeks, and by three to six months of age most infants will have developed a regular sleep-wake cycle.
By the age of two, most children have spent more time asleep than awake and overall, a child will spend 40 percent of his or her childhood asleep. Sleep is especially important for children as it directly affects mental and physical development.
At The Wunders Company, we recognize the need for a wide range of products, across categories and across ages, specifically developed to enhance a child’s good sleep. Therefore, we have created Slumber Wunders™ with the ambition to become the global sleep leader by offering innovative products, which enhance the bedtime ritual, comfort sleepers during the night and assure a pleasant rise and shine.
